Just a quick update...
I'm off to Galicia so I won't be doing a full update until I get back. Until then please note that I have had to remove my guestbook due to technical difficulties. I will sort them out as soon as possible so bear with me and thanks to everyone who has posted something in the last two months, especially Olivia, Benedicte and Jag from Copenhagen! I'll also sort out the glitch with the gallery page too.
As for the writing...
'City Of Ghosts' is now in the final editorial stage. It's a mutli-layered story set in India during 1919 and deals with the Amritsar Massacre. It also takes in France during World War One and Brighton in 1915. I've been trying to decide which genre the novel fits but there isn't one. 'City Of Ghosts' is hard to define and for me that makes it my most exciting novel yet. It's going to be a while before it's published (July 09) but it will hopefully be well worth the wait.
The new Barrington Stoke title still hasn't got a name but I'm close to finsishing it. It's a very tough, gritty story about race and identity but written from the viewpoint of a 15 year old white male. It's something different for me and hopefully it will raise a few eyebrows when it's published. We'll see...
anyway, keep checking back for more news and enjoy the site,
bali.
